Staying motivated to chase your goals can be a tough job, especially if you have procrastinator syndrome.... but not to worry!!! With these 5 easy ways to stay motivated, you are sure to get to your goals sooner than later!

If you’ve made it to the end of the week without burning out, CONGRATULATIONS!! It seems as if by Wednesday, I am completely dragging along the rest of the week, hopelessly trying to juggle life, school and work all while trying to catch up on this season of survivor (scott needs to go). 

Whether you’ve been a goal-getter for a while or you are just starting out, we all know how tough it is to stay motivated throughout this journey. The times when you’ll want to give up, the constant confusion about whether or not the struggle is worth it and the battle to accomplish the goals you have set for yourself can add up. But not to worry. I have jotted down a couple of steps that have helped me stay motivated while working towards my goals. Whether its to travel, save money, or just have a fixed routine for myself, motivation is the fuel I need to get me to the end! So here we go!

1 Know Where You Are Headed

It’s easy to plan up our dream life and then fall back into our regular lives, because it is what we are currently living. But for you to constantly stay motivated, you need to always revisit your final destination. Remember where you are headed so you do not get lost along the way. The end is what you are fighting for so make sure you get a good look at it every single day so that you know what you are fighting for!

2 Simply Choose You

Having the motivation to constantly keep going can get stressful and can get you feeling helpless, especially since change does not happen right away. A small and easy way to work through it is to simply choose you, everyday. Make the choice to choose your dreams and goals everyday. But take it one day at a time. Today, right now, how can you choose you? If you are trying to finish a project and there is a marathon of friends on tv, choose YOU and your dreams, it’s much easier when you take it one day at a time. 


3 Don’t Make It a One Time Thing

Our dream life is something we constantly have to keep working towards to achieve. The problem is, our dream life requires a lot of work and many people set temporary goals that, once achieved, is then forgotten. Your dream life cannot only be something far away that seems impossible to achieve, but it has to be a daily life you choose to live everyday. Lifestyle change is what will get you there, so do not set one time goals, but goals that will make you better each and every day.

4 Do One Thing

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by our dream life because it seems like there is just so much that needs to be done and we don’t have enough time or we can’t do it. Trust me, I’ve been there and I will continue to be there because the struggle is a part of the journey you will have to learn to love. It’s important to keep believing in yourself and not to beat yourself up if you end up not accomplishing everything you had planned that day or that week. I keep a little system where in the beginning of the day I choose ONE thing that will get me closer to my goals, that’s it. I just have to get that one thing done and if I get anything else done, THEN I’M AWESOME! Try it! You will feel the power! haha

Step 5: Keep On Trying

If it didn’t work the first time, try again, and again, and again. Plans are not set in stone, so it is very likely they will not go your way. Be prepared for a change of plans, for a new outlook, for a new route. When the GPS sees that the first route is not working it recalculates, and it keeps recalculating until it reaches its final destination. Make sure you recalculate as many times as necessary to make sure “YOU HAVE ARRIVED”.
